Is Galaxy A33 5G good? Meet Samsung’s new intermediary

A33 5G performance has been improved with Exynos 1280

The new processor of the A33 5G is one of the highlights of the smartphone. The Exynos 1280 is an octa-core clocked up to 2.4 GHz and manufactured in 5 nm. Along with this more powerful chipset, the phone works with 6 GB of RAM. In this regard, the A33 5G had an improvement over its predecessor, which came with 4 GB of RAM.

About the internal memory, the smartphone comes with storage of 128 GB. But if you want, you can expand the memory up to 1TB with a microSD card.

The Galaxy A33 5G already comes with Android 12, the brand’s most up-to-date operating system. Also, the One UI interface is present in version 4.1. Thinking about the smartphone’s lifespan, Samsung guarantees up to four more generations of updates, both for One UI and Android OS.

A33 5G has battery for up to two days of use

The battery of the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is 5,000 mAh. During the launch, Samsung made a point of stressing that the autonomy can reach up to two days. It is worth remembering that this is an estimate and depends on the type of smartphone use.

In addition, fast charging is available at up to 25 W, but the charger included in the box is 15 W. If you want to reach the maximum level of power, the user will need to buy the 25 W charger separately.

A33 5G screen has been improved with Super AMOLED technology

The Galaxy A33 5G’s screen is also a plus. In the new version of the device, it is equipped with Super AMOLED technology. Previously, in the A32 5G, this same display was TFT LCD, inferior even to other intermediaries of the brand.

With this new composition, the screen of the A33 5G has gained sharper and more vivid colors. The display is now 6.4 inches and has a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This last setting gives fluid images. In practice, activities such as scrolling the social media feed, for example, are performed very quickly.

Galaxy A33 5G has quad camera set

The A33 5G’s camera array has four lenses, the main one being 48 MP. One of the auxiliaries is the 8 MP ultra-wide, focused on photos with greater coverage of the frame, such as landscape images. The other is a 5 MP macro, for closer shots of objects. Last but not least, there is a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies, the resolution is 13 MP.

In addition to these settings, Samsung has invested in a 5nm processor and Artificial Intelligence in the camera. Night Mode, for example, has been improved. Now the A33 5G is more prepared to take photos even in low-light environments.

Another feature is Portrait Mode, which is aided by the depth sensor to enhance the perspective of images. With the help of AI, the contours of objects or people photographed become more precise. For example: have you ever tried to capture a photo of your pet and it’s fur is a little blurry in the portrait? With this new technology, the trend is for this type of image and contour to be improved.

Samsung even brought to the Galaxy A33 5G the possibility of remastering old and low quality photos. Another feature is the Object Eraser, which deletes unwanted items in the background of photos.

Module design around A33 5G cameras

In the design, Samsung adopted a rectangular module in the rear cameras, forming a kind of frame. The touch is discreet, but leaves the look a little more refined, as the predecessor had the back cover straight.

Overall, the changes weren’t that big from the A32 5G. Still, details such as the module and the thin edges make the phone more delicate. This last feature also influences usability, as it makes one-handed handling easy.

The model is available in the same colors as the Galaxy A53 5G, the more robust brother of the line: black, white, blue and rosé. The smartphone’s dimensions are 7.4 x 15.97 x 0.81 cm while the weight is 186 grams.
