The company’s proposal is to deliver a complete smartphone, with 5G support and a more affordable price.
The Galaxy A22 5G also features a screen with Full HD resolution, has a long-lasting battery and a processor with good performance. For those who like to photograph, the A22 5G has a 48 MP camera that promises photos with a good level of detail and brightness even in low-light environments.
Galaxy A22 5G design doesn’t bring any surprises
On the front, the device bets on a screen with super thin edges and just a drop-shaped notch for the selfie camera. It is worth noting that it has a biometric reader on the side, which improves practicality and ergonomics to unlock it.
The A22 5G was launched in two different colors: gray and white. It has a memory card slot, a headphone jack and a dual chip drawer.
Galaxy A22 5G performs well for everyday use
The Galaxy A22 5G uses the Dimensity 700 5G processor, which, as its name implies, supports 5G networks. It is an excellent octa-core chip for everyday use. The smartphone promises above-average performance even in some slightly more demanding apps, or even in games.
The A22 5G is sold in a single version with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, space that should be enough for most users. As we mentioned in the design thread, there is a memory card slot in case you need to increase that space.
The Samsung phone comes equipped with Android 11 and Samsung’s One UI Core 3.1 interface. The customization added a new look and feel to the system, in addition to unique features of branded devices.
Battery to use the A22 5G all day, according to Samsung
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has a 5,000mAh battery, which guarantees all-day usability without much difficulty. Samsung does not report the exact battery life, but it is worth noting that the device has 12W turbo charging.
The A22 5G has a 48 MP main camera
The Galaxy A22 5G has a triple set of cameras. The main one has 48 MP and phase detection autofocus. The manufacturer claims that photos taken with this main sensor are enhanced. Thanks to the greater light input, the device achieves sharper photos, even at night. The highlight is the Tetra Binning technology, which merges four pixels into one to ensure photos with more details and brightness.
In addition to the main camera, the device has a 5 MP sensor, with an ultra-wide lens, for photos with a larger frame than the conventional one. This lens is ideal for shooting landscapes or even a group of people. The third sensor has 2 MP and serves to assist in blurring the background of photos, when using Portrait Mode.
On the front, the A22 5G camera has 8 MP and can take good selfies, especially in well-lit environments. It records videos in Full HD, the same resolution as the rear camera records.
A22 5G screen is basic, but has Full HD resolution
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G uses a simple, TFT LCD technology screen. This panel does not have the best level of colors and brightness, but because it is a little more basic, it lowers the final cost of the device.
The good news is that the resolution is Full HD, so images are displayed in high resolution and with more natural movement, thanks to the 90 Hz refresh rate feature. The screen size is 6.6 inches.
